Temple College When Temple Junior College opened its doors in 1926, five instructors and 97 students were there to usher in a new era in higher education for Central Texas. Now, 86 years later, Temple College has an enrollment of 5,700 with a full-time faculty of 120. From its humble beginnings in the basement of the local high school, through today, Temple College has offered quality education at an affordable cost. The college strives to serve the needs of students with varying backgrounds and interests. Temple College is known for academic excellence and outstanding technical education programs.
