| Major research programs in Temple are maintained at four institutions - Scott & White Healthcare, Texas A&M University System Health Science Center College of Medicine (HSC COM), Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS) of Temple, and the USDA Agricultural Research Service Grassland Soil and Water Research Laboratory. Collaboration among the participants creates synergy for the translation of research "from bench to bedside". Research at Scott & White and Texas A&M HSC COM focuses primarily on clinical areas where they may make a significant impact, while research at CTVHCS supports the national goal of advancing medical research programs that address Veterans' needs. Research programs at the USDA Agricultural Research Service strive to improve agriculture, promote conservation of natural resources, and improve the quality of life for the citizens of Texas. | ![]() |
